Mapau This necklace is based on the mapau tree (Myrsine australis - left) which grows in my garden. In this photo you can see the overlapped V-shaped back, which is fastened with two silver buttons. The crochet is made from very fine pure silver wire and the necklace is fastened with two silver buttons at the back. The colour is niobium, a reactive metal which is a sister metal to titanium, and the colour can be varied according to choice. Dimensions: 38mm diamond shape (1½inches), necklace approx 16 in.
