Kowhai This necklace shows the leaves and seed pods of the kowhai tree (Sophora microphylla) one of New Zealand's emblematic trees. The crochet is made from very fine pure silver wire and the necklace is fastened with two solid silver buttons at the back. (Left) It was also photographed in my garden. The colour is niobium, a reactive metal which is a sister metal to titanium, and the colour can be varied according to choice. This necklace can also be supplied as a brooch, with no crochet.
